Wennect is a community-owned platform that connects tech experts and the world’s leading companies. Our focus is on helping top Polish developers grow with a community-led model, where they have a say in how the platform is governed. This model is only possible when we actively participate based on mutual respect. The rules stated in this document apply to all Wennect channels, events, and gatherings. Our culture code is based following: 

1. Respect our community 

The community is at the very core of how Wennect works. We create multiple opportunities for directly exchanging experiences, ideas, and knowledge online and in person. Therefore, when you join Wennect, you are expected to respect the community by participating in discussions, social events, and other activities. 

2. Never refuse to help 

We foster a culture of helping. We encourage building success by helping others to succeed — remember to help and never be afraid to ask others for help. If you need advice, you can connect with the Wennect team at any time at Discord.  

3. Be a leader

Take ownership of how you want to work and grow. Be responsible for right and wrong decisions and the people around you. 

4. Stay patient

Growth is a process that takes time. At Wennect, we are committed to achieving success that benefits the entire community. That is why take time to learn about your needs and experiences and implement the learnings at Wennect. That requires patience. 

5. Focus on what matters

The Wennect community is there to give a voice to the specialists and support each other in overcoming any challenges. To make your experience meaningful - for you and other members, focus on creating value for all - on sharing ideas, thoughts, and activities that inspire, educate and help others.

6. Appreciate cultural diversity

Wennect fosters Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Multiple perspectives are better than one - they bring numerous opportunities for innovation and enable new ideas. However, differences require approaching people with openness and respect, regardless of whether we agree with them. Therefore, we need all Wennect community members to treat everyone with respect and dignity, irrespective of their background, race, skin color, religion, sex, national origin, political convictions, citizenship, age, sexual orientation, disability, or marital status. 

7. Stand up against discrimination.

The community can only thrive when all members feel safe and respected. Therefore, all members must act respectfully towards each other and against discrimination. If you notice violent behaviors or language, speak up! This includes: 

Discriminatory jokes and language of any kind

Posting sexually explicit or violent material.

Personal insults, especially those using racist or sexist terms.

Unwelcome sexual attention.

Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior
